The artist I met by chance

One day I saw an invitation card about an art exhibition in Facebook. It was shared by many of my friends. I love painting so much. So I looked in to that and I found its details. I had not heard about that artist before. His name is Shanaka Kulathunga. His exhibition was named "Soul Windows". It was held on 13^th  and  14^th of March 2021 at Lionel Wendt Art Gallery. I went there with my parents. When we reached the door of art gallery, I couldn't believe my eyes. It was brilliant. There were a few paintings. But it gave me a lot of knowledge as an art student. I don't know how many hours I spent looking at those paintings.

Actually I won't be surprised if that artist was only an artist. He was a doctor by profession. May be art is a part of his life because I can't understand how he makes time for all those work. So he always inspires me to be a hard working person. He treats patients with medicines. But he heals everyone with his paintings. Actually he is a very lucky person because god gave him two paths to heal the world. I don't know him as a doctor. But I know he is a  unique artist. I love his paintings so much. His paintings were very much alive. " The eyes are the windows to the soul" I think, I saw  the soul of his paintings with my eyes. I wished I was a painting drawn by his amazing hand. I hope to visit his studio soon. I know I can't be a doctor. But I love to be an artist like him who can heal the world.
