Hybrid Mona Lisa

 

This is my first finished banner paint painting. I used to paint with water colors at school. But lots of my friends used acrylic or banner paint in their paintings. So I wanted to try it too. I tried it from time to time. But I failed to do that at all times. So I abandoned it. Then after my Advance Level exam, while I was waiting for results, I thought to try it again. After that I selected a few paintings from world famous artists. Then I created a hybrid painting and I patiently painted it in banner paint. At the end, I was able to finish the painting to my heart's content.

When I was looking at my painting, I felt that it says a little story. In this painting, Da Vinci's Mona Lisa is under the starry sky of Van Gogh. Then she becomes a part of Picasso's cubism and gets mixed with Mondrian's geometry. I think that fits well. When I look at my painting, I can hear and see her breathing. So I feel that, she is alive. But I don't know if I can say, she is mine. I named my painting "Hybrid Mona Lisa".
